Comment from Susan Wynd Novotny:
Even one sentence of what you think is needed or what your experience is can make a difference.
As a community we need to brainstorm and look for creative and practical solutions to fill the gaps in services and make sure our loved ones and
ourselves can get the supports that are needed for well being and recovery.
Maybe you hold the key to what hasn't been considered or hasn't been supported in the past.
Mental Health services has been greatly effected by our current fiscal state of affairs.
There is a lot at stake and we as a community need to weigh in on what we think is needed to make for a healthier community.
I have been asked to attend all four of the community forums and will be working to make the information available on a new blog site (www.peerempower.org)
that I have just begun to develop. (all suggestions, in put and critiques welcome as I am new at this!).
Perhaps we will see a difference made if we can continue community education, conversation and action together.
I hope that this Thanksgiving weekend brought joy to you and your family.
